Should sex education be implemented in schools?
in Education

By ulyanaulyana 2 Pts edited December 2018

Generally, sex education is education about sexuality, human anatomy, contraceptive methods, reproduction, age of consent, how to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, the importance of protection and reproductive rights. Various research studies have shown that sex education helps to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy and to decrease the number of HIV and AIDS cases among teenagers. However there are a lot of schools around the world where sex education classes are optional or there are none of them as people think that they are ineffective and increase the chances of early sexual activity.

  • @ulyana In my experience, "early sexual activity", like , happens. Education would, more than likely, help to prevent turning it into a "mistake" or even a tragedy. It shouldn't be a tragedy to lose one's virginity.

If it isn't learned in school it may be taught by a potential "pimp", or, just as bad, by someone like VP Pence. Both WOULD be "tragedies"! IMO.
